Live Different

On February 16th we will be starting a series called, "Live Different...The Bible's Plan for Sex." We will spend three weeks looking at the issue of sex, dating and relationships. Your child is talking about it, hearing about it and possibly experiencing some of it! We will be honest about the situation and look at the truth behind sex and what God's good and perfect plan is. Please feel free to email me or call me with any concerns or questions you may have. This is not a teaching about the birds and the bees. Hopefully you have already been able to discuss that with your student. My hope is to bring truth to the subject of sex. Thanks for allowing me to partner with you and help our young people deal with this serious subject.

Brand New Website

I am super excited to announce the launch of our new website for Trinity Church. Go here to check it out and even send an evite to our Christmas eve service here.

Looking for a last minute gift....

Every Christmas, billions of dollars are spent on gifts for the people we love and those we feel like we should buy a present for. Often these gifts are things that the people really don't even want or need. We even will include a gift receipt because we know so many people will return what we bought. So what if what we purchased for people something that would benefit someone else. Here are a few ideas for last minute gifts:

Bead for Life : BeadforLife eradicates extreme poverty by creating bridges of understanding between impoverished Africans and concerned world citizens. Ugandan women turn colorful recycled paper into beautiful beads. Women in Northern Uganda gather shea nuts and press them into shea butter for cosmetics and soaps.

Vive Clothing :With enough negative forces in the world, why compartmentalize the positives? VIVE began with the belief that business can be done in a fashion that promotes positive change in people, transforming our communities and altering our world. At a certain age sharing is pounded into a persons head, and at a certain age he or she is allowed to forget it . . . at VIVE we have grasped hold of this concept by letting go: percentages of all proceeds will be given to help sustain non-profit organizations. Whether its creating, playing, or merely expressing yourself, everything we do can have just cause.

Water.org : When you treat your family and friends to a Water.org, CamelBak bottle, you'll also be giving a life-changing gift to someone in need.
  • The bottles are a limited edition design, environmentally friendly and great holiday gifts.
  • And 100% of the profits go directly to support nearly a billion people in the world who lack clean water.

Give just one bottle and you help a child get clean, safe water. Give more and you change even more lives - forever. The need has never been greater and you can make a real difference simply by shopping now.

World Vision Gift : Brighten the future for a child in need by buying them a gift: a goat, 2 chickens, ducks, medicine or even a soccer ball. Let someone know that you purchased this gift in their name.

Freeset Bags : Freeset exists specifically to provide freedom for women from the sex trade, women who were forced into prostitution by trafficking or poverty.

No Gathering

Reminder that there is no Gathering on December 22nd or the 29th. Have a great time celebrating Christmas.

The Gathering is Coming Back

It's been an amazing summer: the JH students embraced St. Louis and the HS students embraced Port Arthur, Texas, a lot of students had a great time at summer camp, we enjoyed the 100 ft slip and slide and getting messy with shaving cream and obviously having our baby boy was the best part! This last month has been great as we have been abiding (John 15) in Jesus and taking a break from DOING things. However, I am super excited for theGathering to start back up next Wednesday, September 1st. Come be a part of theGathering as we LAUNCH into the new school year. JH Gathering from 6:30 to 8:00 and HS Gathering from 7:30 to 9:00.

LIFE.GROUPS for JH students start on September 1st also and will meet from 8:00-8:30 on Wednesday nights after theGathering and HS LG will be on Monday nights from 7:00-8:30 at my house.
