It was definitely a fantastic day. Thank you for praying for us over this week. We all enjoy being together and learning from one another. God has been very faithful to us this week and has met us each where we are on our journey.
GO NASHVILLE!!!!
Shea Powers shares a little about our last two days here in nashville. We start serving tomorrow!
We started off our Embrace Nashville Mission Trip with a ropes course. Here are just a few pics of some of the students.
It seems like we have been talking about "embrace" nashville forever! Well the time has finally come and we will be leaving at 7 am tomorrow morning. I am really excited about this trip and anticipating what God is going to do while we are in Nashville. Starting Sunday night I will be posting videos of students giving updates on what has been going on. Please check back sunday night and be a part of our trip. Please continue to pray for us!
If you have a chance you should check out this blog by this beautiful girl I know. Read a little about her family and what is going on in their lives!
Our next love with action project is going to be school supplies. Our goal is to collect enough supplies for 50 backpacks. Here is a list of what is needed:
Just finished a book by Francis Chan, pastor of Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley. The whole book talks about our response to this crazy love that the Creator of the universe extends to us. This is an extremely challenging book...one that calls us to put our faith into action and to respond differently than most of us always have. He also has a great website that goes along with the book with some challenging videos.
Just wanted to remind you all that we will be meeting on Sunday morning at 9:30 to go over "Practical Justice." Also, you must have a adventure works release form turned in. This is to clear you for the ropes course on Saturday night. We will be meeting on Saturday July 19th at 7 am...please do not be late! You also need to wear or pack whatever you are going to wear for the ropes course. This should be something that is comfortable, as well as comfortable shoes such as sneakers or running shoes. You will also need money for lunch on the way down and dinner on the way back, along with any other money you want for snacks. If you have any questions please either post a comment here or email at stlstudents@sbcglobal.net
